On February 19th, the Hong Kong Medical and Health Bureau announced the scope of use of the second batch of Hong Kong elderly medical vouchers (hereinafter referred to as "medical vouchers") in mainland China. Under the medical voucher scheme, individuals aged 65 or above who hold a valid Hong Kong ID card or a Certificate of Exemption from Registration issued by the Immigration Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government can use the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government's annual medical voucher amount of HKD 2000 (up to a maximum cumulative amount of HKD 8000) to assess the medical needs of the elderly and use it to pay for government designated Shenzhen United Family Clinic medical services. It is reported that starting from the third quarter of 2024, elderly people holding medical vouchers can start using them at Shenzhen United Family Healthcare.
