The price of anti-cancer drugs is only one tenth that of Hong Kong. Hong Kong residents account for 80% of the oncology department at Shenzhen New Feng United Family Hospital
After going north for consumption, it has become a trend for Hong Kong people to seek medical treatment in the north. The Shenzhen New Frontier United Family Hospital, established by Hong Kong capital in mainland China, will open in 2022. The annual number of patients seeking medical treatment from Hong Kong has reached 17000. According to data from May this year, the outpatient volume of Hong Kong people has tripled year-on-year, and the contribution to revenue has increased from 11% to 29%.
According to Xiao Yihuang, Chief Operating Officer of the Greater Bay Area Group, Hong Kong people account for 80% of the number of oncology patients seeking medical treatment. He estimated that price is one of the main factors attracting Hong Kong people. Taking some imported cancer drugs as an example, mainland hospitals only need about 5000 yuan, which is about 10 times the difference between China and Hong Kong. His goal is to have half of the hospital's patients from Hong Kong in three years.
Starting from New Year's Day next year, public hospitals will charge 500 yuan for computer scanning. International liver cancer authority Pan Dongping pointed out that the same service in mainland China only charges more than 1000 yuan, but there is no need to wait, which is believed to attract some Hong Kong people to go north for examination.

According to data, if imported drugs for treating lung cancer are used as an example, private hospitals in Hong Kong charge 51000 yuan, while public hospitals charge 33000 yuan. However, Shenzhen New Frontier United Family Hospital only costs about 5000 yuan, which is about 10 times the difference between some drugs in China and Hong Kong. New Wind Tianyu Xiao Yihuang: The mechanism of collective procurement of drugs in mainland China has led to a decrease in prices
Pharmaceutical factories do not have the same price worldwide. Hong Kong is defined as a high category, while the mainland has a large amount of expensive procurement (implementing a collective procurement mechanism for drugs) and bargaining with pharmaceutical factories, which allows prices to be reduced. Therefore, prices can differ by up to 10 times.

Hong Kong residents in their sixties suffer from terminal lung cancer, asthma, and travel north in wheelchairs for medical treatment. After several months, they have regained their health
One of the 61 year old Hong Kong residents was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer at the end of 2020 and received chemotherapy and the targeted drug Osimertinib in Hong Kong. His condition was initially good. However, at the beginning of last year, his body developed drug resistance and cancer cells began to metastasize. Within a few months, his physical condition took a sharp turn for the worse. Due to severe asthma and inability to walk, he had to rely on a wheelchair to seek treatment at United Family Hospital.
The attending physician Jia Lin adjusted the patient's original treatment plan and considered that there was no sign of improvement in their brain lesions. Therefore, she adopted the domestically produced innovative drug Fumatinib tablets, which cost only about 40% of similar imported drugs. After three cycles of treatment, the patient did not experience any serious side effects and their condition eventually improved. A few months later, they regained their health and planned to travel to Croatia.

If a cancer patient is given tens of thousands of mosquitoes in a month, and if they are given tens of thousands of mosquitoes every ten minutes, it will become several thousand mosquitoes, so it will go from unaffordable to affordable. This is a great help to the patient

Half of Hong Kong patients undergo brain cognitive decline examination
As for the cutting-edge technology of brain health screening, it can be understood as a diagnostic examination for cognitive decline in the brain, such as Alzheimer's disease (commonly known as senile dementia). United Family Hospital adopts a patented EEG automated analysis system, which can complete non-invasive testing within one hour without blood draw or radiation. Currently, half of the patients in Hong Kong are patients.
United Family Hospital is also one of the first medical institutions in the Greater Bay Area pilot program for elderly healthcare vouchers. Since joining the pilot program in August last year, it has completed nearly 5000 elderly visits, mainly focused on preventive examinations, including physical examinations, eye examinations, etc. Some elderly people were found to have prostate, cataract, knee joint problems after examination and chose to be admitted for surgical treatment.

Daily appointments for dental services for civil servants and eligible individuals under the Shenzhen pilot program are fully booked
In addition, the government launched the "Shenzhen Pilot Program for Dental Services for Civil Servants and Qualified Persons" in the first quarter of this year, arranging about 2000 eligible individuals such as civil servants who are waiting for dental services from the Department of Health to receive designated dental services, including dental services, at United Family Hospital X Light examination and dental cleaning services.
Xiao Yihuang revealed that the situation of the pilot program is beyond imagination, with daily appointments being fully booked and eligible individuals having to wait for one to two weeks. He also pointed out that he has been in constant communication with the Hong Kong government, understanding the feedback from civil servants, and submitting monthly reports, hoping that after the official implementation of the plan in the future, the qualification quota can be increased.

Expert Pan Dongping: Mainland drug development is about to surpass Europe and America
Pan Dongping, an international authority on liver cancer, honorary professor of the Department of Surgery at the Li Ka shing School of Medicine at the University of Hong Kong, and medical director of New World Healthcare Group (Greater Bay Area), said that due to the active investment in drug development in recent years and the widespread application of artificial intelligence in medical care, he is full of confidence in the future medical level in mainland China.

I think mainland China has entered a stage where drug development is advancing rapidly Overtake( Overtaking in Europe and America is equivalent to electric vehicles. Because of the mainland 𠵱 Many companies have invested resources in drug development, which has strengthened Hong Kong people's confidence in mainland Chinese drugs

Starting from next year, the public hospital will charge $500 for computer scanning and schedule for Hong Kong residents to seek medical treatment in the north
Pan Dongping analyzed that although the medical system in mainland China is relatively uneven, drugs in mainland China are cheap, and the effectiveness of drugs developed in recent years even surpasses that of Europe and America. In addition, the Hospital Authority has hired several high-level mainland doctors to provide services, and the trend of going north to Shenzhen for dental treatment has become popular. It is estimated that Hong Kong people are gradually accepting the idea of going north for medical treatment as a result.
The Hospital Authority recently announced a healthcare fee reform, which includes a charge of 500 yuan for computer scanning starting next year. Pan Dongping pointed out that the same service in mainland China only charges more than 1000 yuan, but there is no need to wait, which is believed to attract some Hong Kong people to switch to going north.

Many patients will think in the future, 'I have to make a schedule for five hundred mosquitoes, but I don't have a thousand mosquitoes to go to the mainland.' So this will make the lower class think it's better to go to Shenzhen for a computer scan
